Ulla is operating as   ULLA ° HORNUNG   Architecture  I  Interior

in Munich since 2017. Ever since she is providing consulting and planning services as an Architect and Designer directly for owners, builders and property developers. Cooperating with well-known architectural offices, one focus is on high-quality private residential houses, may it be new construction, extension or renovation. Another complementary focus is the upscaling via Interior Design, either to existing properties or in the design stage of the new building: it´s worth it!


DEVELOP THE POTENTIAL OF YOUR SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE ON WITH ME: Sustainability and resource-saving architecture have been important aspects of my work for a long time. Sustainable architecture means to me the conscious use of resources, energy, material and space, in order to achieve climate neutrality:


  • Using the potential of conversion and refurbishment (re-use) to create a well thought spatial structure.
  • Intelligent spatial concepts and long-lasting construction allowing flexibility I adaptations I expansion.
  • Energy efficiency: the use of renewable energies combined with integrate building concepts to save or gain energy.
  • Materiality: renewable, recyclable, local materials that create quality and a pleasant atmosphere.

Ulla has been starting      I  Real Estate Advice

in the beginning of 2023 after successful advisory projects for clients, evaluating properties, architectural possibilities and building costs. Her membership in the Helen Cummins´ hc/ Connect&Grow Business Community Mallorca gave the kick-off to operate the Advisory Architect in Munich and Mallorca.


She has an additional qualification " Fundamentals of Real Estate Valuation" (Bavarian Chamber of Architects, Dipl.-Ing. Frank Hemmer, FRICS Architect CIS HypZert).

Curriculum Vitae and Competence.

Ulla Hornung has over 15 years of professional experience as an architect and is member of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects since 2009.

From 2014 to 2016 she was project leading architect in the team of raumstation Architects Starnberg for Euroboden: the high design standards of euroboden (architecture as built culture) and the identity through local reference were important issues.

From 2008-2012 she worked as project architect in all stages at Architekten Stich I Ziegler I Zirngibl in Munich. One of her projects, the Orthopedic Clinic Schloss Werneck, received the second prize at the AIT Award 2012 and was presented at the 2011 Architectural Tours. The exemplary renovation of a façade (color and design concept for the Friedenheim settlement) was awarded the 2010 façade award of the City of Munich for monument protection and urban design.

Immediately after graduating from Leibniz University Hannover and having received an Erasmus scholarship at the South Bank University London, Ulla successfully worked as a design architect in a wellknown international architecture company Nickl & Partner Architekten in Munich. There she won 1st prize for the children's and heart center clinic University of Innsbruck, 2nd prize for the heart disease clinic University of Cologne and various acquisitions, such as the Adidas residential area "HerzoBase" and the concert hall "Klein-Venedig" Konstanz.


After her competitive design career, she gained profound practical experience in housing, office/commercial, education/culture and sustainable building.
